Dear Family and Friends,
We hope this letter finds you all healthy and happy. I am excited to let you know about a couple of opportunities our family has over the next few months and ask for you to join us. We continue to be involved with Young Life locally as well as internationally and we are thrilled for the opportunities we have for growth and for service. Brian and I have always tried to do ministry as a family, because we believe our children are our first ministry and then loving others with them has bonded our family in amazing ways. Our good friend Sergey Z in Russia told Brian this summer that he knows that Brian loves him (and the other YL staff), because Brian's family does. These were beautiful and encouraging words which leads us to this letter.
From April 10-23, Brian and Caleb are off to Russia! The entire Russian Young Life staff and many volunteers are gathering for their annual staff conference and they have invited Brian to teach some of their sessions. Caleb will be joining him and is so pumped to go! He already knows and loves a few of the staff there and he looks forward to meeting and loving on more. What an incredible experience for them both and we hope it illustrates our commitment to this region that Caleb would join Brian to serve them.
Then June 24 - July 2 Abby and I (Amy) are off to Bogota', Columbia to serve as part of the work crew at their Young Life high school summer camp. Abby is in her fourth year of Spanish and is nearly fluent, so serving a culture whose language she loves so much is an answer to prayer! We will join a team of people who will serve at this high school camp with food service, clean up and running games. We will do basically what they ask. :)
We believe in the importance of loving people in our local communities as well as internationally. We believe the enemy loves to isolate God's people and cause them to feel alone and forgotten. Having people come to them from other countries is a huge encouragement to them as they get reminded that they are not forgotten and others are praying for them.
Please consider partnering with us in two ways:
We love you so very much. Thanks for loving us and supporting us. If you have questions, please contact us. If you want to write a check to Young Life, please mail it to us, and write XT737 in the memo line:
